Auto body repair & detailing: Elecro-shield, j c whitney, mike gallagher

Hi Mike,
I Have seen a product in J.C.Whitney magazine for years that is called an electro-shield.It is suppose to put a small electrical current into the steel parts on the vehicle to stop rust.Have you heard if this really works and can it cause any kind of damage to the computer system.
I thought that since you work in auto body repair that you my have heard about this.

I have heard of this type of product before. I don't have any first hand experience with them. I would be worried about the computer in the car using this kind of product. The best way to stop the car from rusting is to keep it clean and a good coat of wax. Please call our 800 number and I will discuss other way to stop the car from rusting.
