Auto body repair & detailing: saab auto body techniques, saab 9000cs, auto body shops

Question
I was recently in an accident in which the rear driver's side door was hit. The damage seems pretty minimal - there is a horizontal dent along the door with no paint damage. This was basically my fault and I am not reporting it to insurance. I've been to several auto body shops for estimates and gotten several different answers:
something about drilling holes in the door and putting metal supports in the holes and repainting door. Someone else said that the saftey bar had been pushed out - but there is no safety issue here and it can be fixed with bondo (?) and the first solution is an old fashioned way to go about it and not necessary. My question is whether this is true or not. I want a repair that will last, but the car is pretty old ('95 SAAB 9000cs) and I want to try to avoid sinking a great deal of money into it. Also would it be weird for me to ask the repair place if they garantee their work or should I assume that they do? Sorry about this long winded email. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Answer
  hi elizibeth,
there is only a couple of ways to repair this . either pound it out from the inside or pull the dent form the outside. as for lasting if they can pull enough of the dent out so there is not too much filler in it then there shouldn't be much of any problem lasting. you could check to make sure there is a problem in a reaonable amount of time if they will repair the problem. thanks for writing.
