MY door wont close any more. It is the drivers side door.  It happened right after i got my fingers slammed in it. now it wont shut right any more. it makes a bad clunk noise and stays unlatched.

     i can't say for sure what the probablem may be with out being able to see what it is doing. about all i can tell you is that you may have a hinge out of adjustment or if it is a GM product the hinge pins and bushings may be worn and letting the door drop, then they will have to be replaced. it is also possible that the striker pin on the body that the latch slides over may be out of adjustment. in order to be sure what the problem is you will have to have someone localy look at it to see what the problem is. sorry i could not help more. thanks for writing.
