Auto Glass: 2011 Toyota Camry power window problem

Question
I have a 2011 Toyota Camry and my driver side power window is completely off track. At first it made really loud noises when you rolled it up then the window would go down but would not come back up unless forced to. Now the window is completely off track you can basically take the window completely out and we keep holding it up with various items. How can we put it back on track?

Answer
Hello Tyrone,

From the description of your problem I suspect that the glass is no longer attached to the regulator (the mechanism that moves the window up and down).  There are two plastic mounting brackets that are glued to the bottom of the glass at the factory.  I think these brackets have come unglued.  Unfortunately, the brackets cannot be re-glued to the glass.  You will need to buy a new glass or a used glass that has good mounting brackets.

These sites don't specifically tell you how to replace the glass, but you should be able to figure it out once you understand how everything works.

Feel free to send a follow up question if I can help with anything else.
