Auto Glass: spots on windows, Chemical Rain spots

Is it normal for glass on windows of a 2008 Jeep to look cloudy/spotty?  I've noticed this on the front side windows and rear window.

Hi Pat,

         What you are seeing is Acid Rain spots or chemical damage spots.  It is more common to see it on Tempered glass because the windshield gets wiped more often.  Chemical damage is rated in 3 stages. #1 being light damage.  #2 Medium damage. #3 Heavy damage.

If its only #1 you can try a solution of Toothpaste and Vinegar and a Terrycloth rag along with some Elbow grease to clean it using small circular motions.  

If it is # 2 damage we sell a special chemical to get it out but you can try some light compound and see how good that does.

With both the Compound and the special stuff you have to cover all the Black moldings and any other surface that is plastic or rubber.

#3 is the hardest to remove and requires heavy chemicals and time to remove and in some cases replacement of the glass is required if damage is not successfully removed. Let me know if you need the Special Stuff its not that expensive something like 25.00 + Shipping
