Auto Glass: left front window motor 2003 mustang, mustang owner, problem changes

owner said window work when no rain checked it motor was bad on drivers door passenger window work with 12 volts to switch on drivers door [power probe tester] new motor works with 12 volts from power probe 12 volts to drivers switch but blanks out when switch pushed .02 volts can you help? thank you gary ps wires in door opening good no brakes. thank you gary

Hi Gary,

Sounds like an unusual problem.  I am just taking a couple of wild guesses.  

It may be the ground connection for that section of the wiring harness.  Put your circuit tester in the ground wire (black I think) at the switch wiring connector then press the switch and see if the problem changes.  If the motor works, find and clean the ground connection.

Maybe the wiring connection from the door to the main harness is loose.  Not sure where that connection is exactly.  Might be in the left kick panel near the brake pedal.  The connection might "flex" and come loose when the door opens/shuts.
