Auto Glass: driver window, tahoe, getting power

QUESTION: 1999 tahoe, the driver power window won't go up. I replaced the switch & I think the motor is fine. Any ideas. Thx

The most common problem is a bad window motor.  What makes you think your more is not the problem?

QUESTION: But the motor ran great till the switch gave out. The new switch solved the problem with a back window. I'm confused. Thx

Hi Tom,

If you haven't already taken the door panel off, you probably  should do that.  Then remove the wires from the window motor.  Re-connect the switch and check to see that you are getting power from the switch to the motor.  If you are getting power to the motor wires then it's pretty safe to assume that the motor is bad.
