Question
I have the glass. What size butyl tape will I need and what's the installation procedure. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Sean,

The 1/4 or 5/16 round should work.

Remove all panel moldings and trim around inside to reveal the 9mm nuts holding the window in.

Place a small amount of butyl on the socket so the nuts do not fall into qtr panel!

Tap bolt ends from inside working your way around the whole window until the window frame is out.  Use putty knife, Utility knife if it will not come free on its own.

Remove all butyl and glass from pinch-weld and prime both glass and pinch-weld and let dry 20 mins

Roll 14 or 5/16 tape onto pinch-weld pressing it firmly as you go, {Do not crush} just press making sure it will not move when you set the glass in!

Note : Keep the tape to the Outside of the holes. ;)

Start all the nuts finger tight at first and tighten evenly all the way around until snug. Do not over do it, The window will blow up if nuts are over tightened!

The warmer the tape gets the closer the glass will be to the truck over time so you can go over the nuts again at a later date if needed.

Always protect your Hands and Eyes you will miss them when there gone!!

                                                Hope This Helps! Derek =D
