Auto Glass: 2000 Elantra master window switch, hyundai elantra, 2000 hyundai elantra

Question
I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra GLS my window will not go back up. The button is broken it will not push in to pull window up on Drivers side. All other buttons on my panel work for passenger and rear windows. We have checked the motor and everything else is ok. There is  no noise when I try to press button. Can I just get a new power window panel or a new switch?
your help is greatley appreciated

Answer
Hi Trudy,

From what you have told me it certainly sounds as though the the switch is the source of your problem.  There is a slim chance that you could have a wiring issue, but the switch failure is the most likely cause.

You cannot replace a single button or switch on most multi-button switches.  You must buy a complete unit which includes the switches for the other three windows.  Your local Hyundai dealer should have this item in stock. However, if Hyundai's price is too steep, you might want to contact a local salvage yard.  You can even find several compatible switches on EBAY.

Feel free to send a follow up question if there is anything else you need to know.
