Hi Mark,

I almost never replace a window motor on a GM / GMC van of this vintage, so I don't have a clear list of steps in mind.  What I think I remember about the few I have done is that the motor is held in place by three nuts rather than rivets.  That means that it is fairly simple to remove the old motor and install the new one.

I know I am not being very helpful, but I don't know how much help you need. If you will give me a little more information about your level of mechanical skill / experience and what specific questions you might have about this particular repair I will be happy to see what else I can add.
