Auto Glass: 95 camry window, Window

Question
QUESTION: Hello Derek
I have a 1995 Camry Le, and for the last 3 year i have been having problem wining up the passenger side window.
The window goes 80% of the way up just fine and then it seems like it jumps and goes of track, however it goes down just fine.
It still goes up all the way, but it goes off track and this lets the rain into the car.
So in order to stop the water from seeping in i have to pull the car window into place manually while pressing the wind up button.
I seen a lot of problems with Camry windows not working or only working sometimes but it seem like the power to the winds are working just fine but the alignment or track is mess up.
Any advice
thank you

ANSWER: Hi Sayyid,

The problem could be almost anything, so start with the free solutions first.

Check your window guide rubber if it is out of place at all or cut or overlapped this would have the same symptoms as you have described.

I like to use cannuba wax to lube the rubbers its messy but works great and does not built up dirt like WD 40 but you can use spray silicone or even Glass cleaner to see if that Helps the window work better.

Other causes may be a simple alignment adjustment, Aftermarket glass that is out of bend. Weak motor,  Bad Regulator, Speaker or other aftermarket equipment installment gone Bad in door!

Try some of these solutions and let me know what you come up with, I am curious to know what you find.

         Hope This Helps!   Derek =D

QUESTION: Okay after using the silicone spray it works a little bit better and it does indeed close but it still doesn't closed tightly, i can still pull it back about a third of an inch.  So what happen now when it is about 80% up it jumps of the track and then some how begin to find its way back.
Also now when im winding the window up and down it make a squeak 60% up the track.
any other advice would be helpful
thank you

Answer
Hi Sayyid,

I would try the wax next and then if that does not work just go down the list of causes starting with the cheapest solutions first!!

         Hope This Helps! Derek :)
