Auto Glass: Labor to replace a Window, Toyota Sequoia

Question
My 2010 Toyota Sequoia got broken into the other day.  The rear driver door window needs to be replaced.  Initially the dealer said one hour to replace, now the job is up to 3.5.  What is reasonable?

Answer
HI CARL,

If we where to do this job locally we would charge you 239.00 for your FD23481YPY in privacy tint. but the Dealer Labor is always more. NAGS does not show a listing for labor on this door glass but average book time is about 1.4 hrs
Book time is always different then actual labor time. and because the car is so new the Dealer doesn't even know how to do this door glass yet,, so your paying for some mechanic to learn how to do it!

Call your insurance company and see if you have glass coverage and if you do have the dealer submit the bill directly to them. If for some strange reason you do not have it on a 2010 Toyota Truck get it because no other glass is available for this truck outside the Dealer except the windshield and this door glass! HOPE THIS HELPS!!! DEREK =D
