Auto Glass: window cable, Window, regulator repair

i have 2000 gmc seria 1500 4x4 .the winow fell down,i have it torn apart and apears to be two cables that are both broke and wond around motor.not quite sure how they route,and i will need to buy 2 new cables if they sell them.i do have motor out,thanks alot Jim,past all expert helper

Your Past Help is going to be rewarded HERE, Today!! Ready? Don't go crazy with the motor and the cables and over analyzing stuff like I do. LOL :) This Gmc Window Regulator comes as one unit. Cables/ Motor/ and All. So do not waist your time getting aggravated with this job. I foolishly tried to Repair one of these once when they first came out and even if you are Blessed with the patients of a Saint and did get everything back together after spending an hour or so, it still would bind back up in the main Cog gear. So Once the cable gets a kink in it you can toss it in the can. I guess having taken the motor out you have removed all 6 bolts, 4 for the regulator and 2 from the Glass!? If not, only 2 more 10 millimeters for the glass to go and your out. Replacement: If your Rich and want to Order one from the Dealer, Oops Sorry for Cursing There, Go Ahead. Just be ready to pay the 100-150+ and maybe wait a week or so for it to come in. This seems to be a very common problem with this truck I don't think they would have them in stock OR?, maybe?, they have a whole room filled with these regulators to keep up with the Demand? LOL :) If you do not want to go through the hassle and spend big bucks and want to go aftermarket for 40.00-75.00 then go aftermarket. If you need it ( Right NOW ) try the Auto wreckers but don't think they will save you that much 75-150. Oh, Wait here is a AFTERMARKET!
