Auto Glass: 96 CROWN VIC electric side window does not go up, plastic hooks, blown fuse

how can i put my window back up and just leave it there? Thnks...

Hi Ken,

If you have power windows, check for a blown fuse.  Otherwise, you need to remove the door panel.

1. Remove the retaining screws (I believe there are 4).

2. Carefully pry off the door handle trim and the armrest switch control with a small screwdriver.

3. Hold the door panel and lift straight up.  The door panel rests on several plastic hooks and you need to lift up in order to disengage these hooks.  Do not pull out or you will break the plastic hooks.

4. Unplug any wire connectors.
