Auto Glass: GLASS REPAIR, windshield cracks, impact point

IS THERE A WAY TO DIY WINDSHIELD NICKS, CRACKS, MOONS, STOP CRACKS FROM RUNNING?  I HAVE SEEN THE REPAIR KITS BUT DID NOT KNOW IF THEY REALLY WORKED.

Hi Julie,

Yes.  You can find repair kits at your local auto parts store.  However, DIY kits usually have a low success rate.  If you have a small nick or a bullseye break (a circle around an impact point), then you can probably be relatively successful.  Other breaks (especially cracks) are more difficult, and I would suggest going to a local repair shop before your windshield cracks out.
