Auto Glass: interior door removal, bottom seal, window seal

Question
My window fell off track on my car door, I am trying to remove the door panel to set it right again...my father has shown me how to do this on an old vehicle that had a similar problem but this is my first attempt on my own.  I have removed all the screws and such but can't seem to remove the panel easily.  It seems to be attached at the bottom of the window seal...my question is should I force it up off the actual door frame/bottom seal to the window?  and how do I do so without causing damage, ie how much force is too much?

Thanks!
Teresa

Answer
Hi Teresa,

No, I would not force the panel off.  There may be hidden clips or screws still holding the panel on.  Removing the panel depends on the make, model, and year of your vehicle.  Try to determine what is holding the panel on.  My guess would be some sort of push pin, but it is hard to say without knowing what type of vehicle you have.  If you are still having trouble, send me your specific vehicle information and I will try to help.

Thanks,
Kevin
