Automotive Plastics: plastic repair, pur door panel

Question
I have a 2004 silverado ext. cab 4x4. On the inside of the door trim panel there is a bracket attached to the panel behind the slide lock lever. This bracket mount broad off flush. The panel says PVC PUR-GM15 700. What and how can I reattach the bracket mount?
Thanks Dave

Answer
Hellow David, The markings you found may indicate that the external side is made of integral skin (PVC) and the body of the panel made of polyurethane, a high density foam which is virtually non-repairable.
If the bracket was originally attached with some sort of glue, it must be a special formula of hot melt, similar to any regular glue stick though stronger. Are both the bracket and the panel clean enough to try melting back and join the two pieces with a heat gun? only such adhesive will be suitable for PUR.
Some pictures taken at close range will be useful to try a trick or two. Please send them to:
manual@bumper2bumperplasticsrepair.com. Mention the words "pur-panel" in the subject box.
I will be glad to help but at first sight seems a bit difficult.
Thanks
