Automotive Plastics: mirror, no screws, passenger mirror

1997 chev c1500 passenger mirror, on the interior there is a plastic cover with no screws. how do i remove this cover to get to the screws to hold it on.

Hi David, I have been trying to see if there is an equivalent version for your car in my country but I have not found any. I have dismantled a lot of side of side mirrors and they share a common characteristic: they are fastened to doors or pillars by three screws. To get access to them I almost always, have to pry a snap plastic clip installed in the inner, upper part of the cover. The other two snap fits are the cantilever type, which you can remove by pulling up and out.
