Auto Parts: interchanging vehicle parts websites, toyota camry, heater core

I was wanting to know a website that i can go to for my husband( a mechanic) to get a list of all vehicles that interchange with 1 specific vehicle. For instance, a 99 Toyota Camry  interchanges the same heater core  with a 2000 and 2001 Camry but what other vehicles does the heater core interchange with. This is the kind of website information I need. Do you know of a website that does this. It is aggravating to have to call the local parts house every time to find out this information.

Unfortunately to date there is no website of this type. It is recommended that whenever a part is needed for a vehicle, you call your local part house to confirm that the part is in stock and also to confirm that the part will work with the vehicle you are trying to put into.

It is part of the job of a mechanic or a technician, to do this work. This is what we are paid for. I can understand that you would like to cut out this work, however it is necessary to ensure that the parts that are going into the vehicle will fit properly work with the vehicle system.

Insert circumstances there are parts that will interchange with other vehicles, however this is not always the case more often than not the parts are not interchangeable. I highly recommend that you continue to follow the procedures you have been using, to ensure that you always get the correct parts.
