Auto Parts: rear shocks-follow up ?, monroe sensa, stock shocks

Question
What about the monroe sensa track load adjusting shock.? it is supposed to maintain vehicle height up to 1200# witch is the weight of camper.. thanks.

Answer
Randy,

I have reread your prior question and noticed that the expert who was helping you is maxed out, so therefor i will attempt to pick up from here.

The prior answer in my oppinion is the best way to go about doing this.  If the camper is coming on and off alot, i would use air shocks and monitor the air pressure regularly.

If the camper will be staying on more then it comes off, i would use the stock shocks and as said before a helper leaf spring.

As for the Monroe Sensa Track shocks, those are good, however you must remember that they are rated for up to 1200#, which as you stated is the weight of the camper.  You have to figure in that the shocks must handle the weight of the camper AS WELL AS the weight of the vehicle that the stock shocks are designed to handle.  This will probably put you over the 1200# Limit of the monroe shocks, if you like the monroe style i would suggest looking into a monroe shock that can handle more weight, i would recommend one that is rated to handle the weight of the vehicle plus the camper and then some to be safe.

If this is not an option then i would revert again back to the original answer and go with one of those two options depending on your situation.

Thanks
