Auto Parts: An Honda accord hose, heater hoses, stock dealers

Dear Mike,

I have a leak in the hose located on the passenger side, top left, kind of behind the engine. Do you happen to know which hose that is? The hose is about an inch diameter.

    What you are describing sounds like a heater hose.  If it goes from the engine to the body of the car, then that's definitely what it is.  I don't know what year your car is, but you are probably going to have to get that hose from the dealer.  In the old days heater hoses were just lengths of straight hose bent to fit in the space allowed.  Nowadays they are almost always molded hoses designed to fit in a specific space.  The dealer will have an exploded view of the engine compartment and its hoses; you can point out the one you need and buy it (or order it if they don't have it in stock).  Dealers can order parts in one day, usually.
