could you please tell me if there are any other GM auto's that the starter will interchange with my 1999 chevy lumina 3.1 auto v-6

Answer
Pretty much any FWD GM w/ 3.1 from 97 to 04.  That said, I really recommend against a used starter.  Just buy a quality rebuilt one and let the parts guy look it up for you.  If you've some reason to doubt that the application is correct, take the old one with you and make sure everything matches.  If it's the original starter it will have a GM (Delco) part number on it that can be cross-referenced.
