Auto Parts: 96 towncar wont start or crank think its the alarm?, lincoln town car, radio signal

I got a 96 lincoln town car and it wont start.I checked the starter and it works and i notice that my oem alarm doesnt work any more i also checke the fuses and all were good.any help would be wonderful.

    If it was an aftermarket alarm I might be worried but an OEM alarm shouldn't prevent the car from starting.  However if the component of the security system that reads the radio signal from the key is bad that would prevent the car from starting.  I don't know if that would prevent the alarm from working as well.  You might want to find an aftermarket automotive locksmith who is familiar with these systems and get him to test the security system to see if it's the problem.
