Auto Parts: 1972 chevelle body work, chevelle, urethane

Question
I am in the process of performing a frame off restoration of my car. Upon removing the front clip I have discovered the front body mounts (under the firewall) are in need of replacement. From looking at the remains of what is there it appears as though originally these body mounts were welded into place at the factory. One would there fore think these would be a popular aftermarket product that could be purchased. However after considerable searching on the internet I have failed to locate any classic parts distributor that carries these items. Any suggestions of how to solve this problem

Answer
If I understand you correctly, what you need is sold as a kit by ss396.com, their part # DCC1516.  Body mounts are not welded to a car, and are made from rubber or urethane, with a bolt through the center.  If what I have found is not what you need, I'm sure the guys at ss396.com can figure it out for you.
