Auto Parts: ABS or fiberglass replacement body parts?, abs units, fiberglass replacement

Question
Restoring my '87 Regal and finding several options for the bumper fillers. Basically what are the pros and cons of ABS vs fiberglass? if is were your car what would YOU do?

Answer
That all depends on whether you plan on hitting something with the bumpers.  You can get a much nicer finish on fiberglass, if pretty is what you're looking for.  The ABS units are much more flexible and closer to the original urethane items; they will flex when the bumper moves in and out on its shocks.  However, you will have to put a flex agent in the paint that is used on the flexible pieces of the car (any plastic or urethane items, including the sport mirrors if your car has that type), which is why you should paint all of those items at the same time, so as not to waste paint.
