Auto Parts: 2003 Cavalier, timing chain replacement, pivots

Question
My Timing chain jumped and the only thing I can see is on my upper bolt for the Fixed Timing Guide.  There are no threads for the bolt.  Is there supposed to be a Threaded Sleeve? Can I buy it somewhere?
Thank You
David

Answer
I'm not sure which part you are referring to. The timing chain guide pivots on an unthreaded pin.  Perhaps this is what you are referring to.  You should not, under any circumstances, try to refit the existing chain.  If it has jumped timing, then it is stretched and should be replaced.  The best thing you can do is to buy a timing chain replacement kit, which will have a new chain, gears and other parts (including the guides) which should be replaced at the same time.  These kits should have all of the parts that you need and any good parts store should have them in stock.  Cloyes #94201S should be the right one for your car.
