Auto Parts: 97 saturn s series tranny conversion, safety clutch, bad in my car


Question
ok so my tranny went bad in my car it was an auto. and i got a deal for 20 bucks on another car but that tranny was a stick so i changed everything ecu wiring everything that i can think of but now the car wont start the fuel pump kicks on and ive got all my lights but park lights but there is just NOTHING when you hit the ignition and i tried to jump the starter but it just tried to move oR what ever but it didn't turn the engine... any clue at all what the problem is? some one said that it might be the theft mech that comes stock but i took the battery out before i even got started to idk .. im just trying to find answers and have come up with nothing thanks

    Are you saying that you took all of the manual trans parts out of the other car and put them in your car?  Clutch, shifter, everything?  that's a big job to get everything right.  My guess is that one of the safety switches(neutral safety, clutch safety, there may even be others, although I don't know what they'd be) is not connected properly and preventing you from cranking the motor.  Also, I hope you are using the starter that came with the other car with the manual trans.  Auto and manual trans cars generally use different starters, although I can't be sure about this one.  But, if that's the case, the starter drive will not mesh properly with the flywheel and you won't get it to crank.
