Auto Parts: STARTER, car alarms, stereo shop

Question
I HAVE A 95 TAURUS AND HAVE REPLACED THE STARTER. WHEN REPLACING IT, THE CAR TURNED ON AND THE ALARMS WENT HAYWIRE. TURNED OFF THE CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. I REMOVED THE STARTER, HAD IT CHECKED, AND REINSTALLED IT AND STILL THE ALARMS WENT CRAZY WHEN IT TURNED ON. AFTER TURNING OFF CAR, IT STILL WON'T TURN BACK ON. I WAS TOLD I COULD DISCONNECT THE ALARM AND ROUTE THE STARTER ENDS 2 EACH OTHER 2 BYPASS THE ALARM, IN HOPES OF STARTING THE CAR. SO, PLEASE, HOW DO I DO SO?

Answer
Is this the factory alarm, or an aftermarket alarm?  If it disables the ignition (prevents you from restarting the car), I'm guessing that it's an aftermarket alarm.  I'll be honest, there are hundreds of different ways that this thing could be wired.  My best suggestion is that you have the alarm (again, assuming it is not a factory system) removed from the car by an alarm installer at a stereo shop, and leave it off.  These alarms always lead to heartbreak in the long run and provide very little protection from a determined thief (if you know one of those, he could probably help you).  If you can find the box that operates the alarm and get the manufacturer's name, you could go to their website and get the information you need.  I'll guarantee that the problem was caused by disconnecting the battery to remove the starter, but that's all I know on this subject.  I hate car alarms, I really do.
