Auto Parts: Headlight switch part # needed, oldsmobile delta 88, ac delco

Hello, I have a 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 base model, with 425ci engine.  The 1967 to 1990s Olds headlight switches mention AC Delco, and part numbers D1588 and D1592.  This 1966 headlight switch is in the dash and controls the headlights, dash dimmer, and dome light all in one.  Do you have a reference that has the part number for the 1966 Olds Delta 88?

    What you've run into here is a classic case of "they don't make that one anymore."  Remember, we're talking about a car that is over 40 years old.  I would go to Hemmings' web site and look through their classified ads for someone specializing in electrical parts for old GM cars.  There should be several vendors who do just that, and one of them will be able to supply a switch.  You could repair the old switch, but it's a job for someone with a little know-how.  Worst case is that you'll have to find someone on Hemmings' site who can perform that service.  Get used to this, every year that goes by means parts will be harder to get.  On the plus side, every year that goes by should mean that the car increases in value, unless it's a four-door.
