Auto Parts: auto parts, contiental, air struts

Sir:  We have a problem.  We have a 1994 Lincoln Contiental taht has the front two air struts out and we are on social security and cannot afford the extreme prices for other ones.  Can you help us?  Our neibor has a 1984 Lincoln Contiental that she will sell for $50.00, not reunning of course but would the struts on it be the same as our. Could we replace our with hers? Help?  Doug

There's a ten-year gap between the models of your cars.  The struts might fit if the chassis had not changed, but I don't have the information to back that up.  I wish I could be of more assistance to you - I'd do the job for you if I lived next door.  Good luck in your search.
