Auto Parts: Keyless entry and front passenger door lock, toyota alarm, pep boys

Question
I have a 2002 Toyota Sienna Van. My van came new with non-Toyota alarm and shock sensor, which I have disconnected from the car.  There is also Lojack installed. Whenever the key is in the ignition or the car is running and the front passenger door is open, all the door locks, except the driver's, pulsate twice and there is an audible click (twice) below the steering.  My keyless entry and remote do not work. The batteries are new in the remote. To lock and unlock the doors I have to use the keys.
What causes the door locks to click twice when the key is in the ignition and the passenger door is open?
Could this problem cause the key less entry not to work?
I have the procedures to reset the key less entry codes for the Sienna, but it will not reset.

Answer
Hi Marvin,

This is not a question someone online would be able to accurately answer. You should have a reputable mechanic take a look at it for you.

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
