Auto Parts: parts, maximum air flow, pvc plumbing

Question
QUESTION: hi there, I have a 1991 Buick Riviera and i was wondering what parts could i add/change to my car that would add HP/Torque. I've already add new Bosch wire set and spark plugs, new fuel filter. but i want more HP.
another thing I noticed the car doesn't move right away when i step on the accelerator ,but the motor doesn't show any weakness. Im not really sure but do you think its the clutch on my trans(automatic)and i know its not the gear b cuz it doesn't do the same as slipping gears... what should i do about it, replace the clutch or what?

ANSWER: There are many things you can do to increase power in your vehicle.  The easiest things would be intake/exhaust mods from where you're at.  I doubt you'll find any pre-made cat-back exhausts for your vehicle, but it's easy enough to get around.  Find an aftermarket muffler that fits properly and have an exhaust shop fabricate some mandrel-bent exhaust up for you and weld it all on.  Also, you can piece together a home-made cold-air kit with simple PVC plumbing and a K&N cone-style filter.  K&N makes many different styles and sizes of filters to suit your needs.

As far as your acceleration problem, I'd need more info to answer that one.  Too many variables to pinpoint.

QUESTION: thank you a lot for the info about custom muffler
Ok when im at a stop and i want to get out of thee fast i can't, when i step on the accelerator it starts moving but not how i would expected to move that slow, it feels like im driving a stick and no matter how much gas i give it won't move until i let the clutch out
it seems like i was driving a stick and i were to step on it but all i would do is let clutch out really slow....I also cleaned my fuel injectors and add a cone air filter and used some pvc to put it a little under car so i get maximum air flow, i don't know if that helps but i did.do you think its something else than my trans?

ANSWER: That helps a bit here.  OK, based on your information I feel there is something trans related.  Like a slipping torque convertor.  Have you checked your fluid level, and when was the last time it was flushed/filled?

QUESTION: My opinion I don't think it has been flushed, and also I've been keeping close attention to the trans fluid level and its perfect..../(been using correct fluid)As far as that problem what are other variables are to it?

Answer
Based on the info you've given me I feel it may very well be a trans problem.  Either slipping bands internally or the torque convertor is going out.  If you look around, you may find a transmission shop locally to you that might be able to pinpoint the problem further with a test drive.
