Auto Parts: Evap Solenoid, emission system, auto zone

05 Malibu LS (31,000)check engine light. Dealer Diag test. Paper says the problem is: EVAP VANT SOLENOID AND GAS CAP NOT ALLOWING PROPER PRESSURE IN FUEL SYSTEM/EMISSION SYSTEM. Where is this solenoid located and is it easy to put on? I would like to do it myself. If I do fix it will the light go off or can my local Auto Zone reset it?

Is your vehicle still covered under warranty?  If so, let them fix it!  :)  

As far as the light goes, you can reset your "Check Engine" light easily by taking the negative lead off the battery for a few minutes, then re-connect.  Your computer will then reset itself.
