Question
how U doing Knucklebusters i have a simple question i have a 1993 buick lasabre and the main windows controls in driver side the buttons are dropped down i know there is a brace that holds up the controls but i don't know how to get to that brace please tell me how (please be very detailed in your answer im not a mechanic)i just tinker with a lot of stuff

Answer
Hi Sam,

You'll need to remove the door panel to access the brace unless it is connected to the door panel, in which case you'll still need to remove the panel. Panel removal is pretty simple. The panel is only held on with clips that more-or-less just pop into and out of the door. Yes, there is a special tool that SHOULD be used, but as long as you are careful, you should have no problem. There will be about ten to fifteen of these mini-clips holding the panel around the two sides and the bottom. The top of the panel is held in by gravity. There should be two Phillips-head screws holding the arm-rest on which you'll need to remove first and possibly a single-small Phillips-head screw holding the door-handle bezel in place. I don't think any more than three screws are used to hold that panel but take care in pulling it to make sure you don't rip it because of a hidden screw and don't forget to carefully disconnect any wire harnesses so they don't get damaged.

Good luck!

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
