Question
I HAVE A 1999 ISUZU AMIGO WITH A 2.2L 4 CYL THAT BUSTED THE BLOCK , IM REPLACING THE MOTOR WITH A 1995 3.2 V6 THAT CAME FROM A HONDA PASSPORT.ONLY TO FIND THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION FROM THE 2.2L WILL NOT MATCH UP TO THE 3.2 V6
CAN I SWAP OUT THE AUTOMATIC TRAN, FROM THE HONDA PASSPORT AND NOT HAVE TO CHANGE THE DRIVE SHAFT ? OR WILL A 1991 ISUZU RODEO AUTOMATIC TRAN, EXCHANGE WITH OUT SWAPPING THE DRIVE SHAFT ?

Answer
Hi Mark,

No and no.

You'll be better served by replacing the busted block and saving yourself the headaches. Run those other two donors to your local scrap-recycling facility and turn them in for weight. Most places are paying around $11.00 per hundred pounds of automotive steel right now so you should easily get enough to replace that engine. None of the vehicles you have listed there have ANY parts that interchange with the others. NONE.

Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
