Looking for a reputable service technician? My advice on finding a good technician is: Steer clear of the dealership and 'chain' stores like Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, Monro Muffler/Brake, Midas, etc. as they usually only employ ONE ASE Certified Tech just so they can say they do and chances are, that guy is the asst. manager or manager and is not in the store to diagnose/repair vehicles anyway. Find a service location in the link below or get some names out of the yellow-pages and do a drive-by. Garages that employ ASE Certified Technicians will be marked with the 'Blue-Seal' insignia. If unsure about whether a place employs Certified Techs, just ask to see their credentials. ALL ASE Certified Technicians will be PROUD to show and display their certificate(s).

QUESTION: mine truck is a 94 ford ranger and the driver side quarter window broke,it is tinted and moveable.It is 500 bucks new.I have a few people that have a window in different years for cheap.which ones can i use?I noticed that you didnt have a 94 ranger on the list with privacy.Do you think the windows where changed out?THANKS

Your '94 fits the 'B' interchange above and Ford lists that piece as $831.00 new and strangely, still available.
The notes mention a difference between tinted and privacy. Privacy tint is 60Lum max and therefore very dark whereas the tint is a light gray or green depending on the year and I think ALL Rangers of that interchange were standard-equipped from the factory with tint. The notes state a difference because certain option packages included upgraded glass and those vehicles did not fit any special interchange. The option was available separately so no interchange notes could be assembled. It's a little difficult to try and explain how interchanges are figured out and if you see an interchange like that it usually means that the particular vehicle, as long as in the listed interchange, was or could have been equipped with either tinted or privacy glass and therefore interchangeable with appearance as the only difference.
