Auto Parts: 1988 BMW water pump removal, bmw 318i, euro spec

I have 88 BMW 318I, now in the Air Force stationed in Italy, so its euro spec, cant seem to find any help on removing the water pump, i have the new one, i got the bolts out ok, but cant get fan clutch off to get more access to the pump, ive tried heating it and using a pry bar, it will not budge at all.  So how do i get the clutch off and get that pump out?

Hi Keith,

Not certain, but I think those clutch mechanisms screw on with a left-handed thread stud. I don't do much work on BMW's. If you could send me a snap-shot of what you are looking at, I'm sure I could be of more assistance to you.
