Auto Parts: new atv cranks but does not start, secondary ignition, small engines

Question
atv used 1 season cranks but does not start, I replaces plug, checked oil,The question is if the spark plug may not be igniting? if i connect the plug to the wire before screwing in manifold and try to crank it should i see a spark? i tryed but it does not? any help?

Hi Ara,

If you are not familiar with secondary ignition sources, it is dangerous to be screwing with them as the extremely high voltage of the secondary ignition could easily kill you.

Besides that, I don't work on ATV's or small engines.
