Auto Parts: question about auto, whitch, muffler

yes  im  just  wondering   i  have  a  1985  camaro  and  it  takes  a  dual   exaust  muffler  the  other  muffler  rusted  out   so  i  went  to  autozone   to  buy  me  another   muffler   and  the  question  is  on  the  muffler  there  are  arrows  that  point  both  ways  the  question  is  can  i  hook  the  inlet  up  on  any   of  the  pipe  inlets  of  the  muffler?  i  also  see  A  whitch   the  arrow  points  one  way  im  just  wondering  so  i  wont  have  the  muffler  hooked  up  wrong  i  already  put  the  muffler  on

Hi Robert,

Arrows on mufflers ALWAYS point in the direction of flow. The arrows will indicate the outlets, not the inlet. You should have ONE inlet (when the muffler is in place, the inlet will be BELOW the outlet on the same side) and TWO outlets.
