Auto Parts: shifter on steering column, ford tarus, auto transmission

1997 Ford Tarus auto transmission. Need to get a diagram of the shifter on the steering column. The car will not unlock out of park. Thank You

Hi Jenna,

I don't have a blow-up of a steering column for a Ford. My advice would be to remove the transmission-end of the cable and try to operate the shifter, if it works, the issue is in the transmission and if it still does not move, the problem will be a broken stop-rod or a bad brake-lockout cable.
