Auto Parts: Speedometer and Odometer, celica gts, speedometer

I have a 1990 celica gts, and the speedometer and odometer do not work. what could be the problem, and how much would the part(s) cost?

Hi Jamie,

The good news is that you can probably get a replacement speedometer relatively inexpensively. Like around $50-$75.

The problem could also be the gear in the trans that operates the speedometer, although that is more rare. The cable could also be bad.
