Auto Parts: 91 lincoln trunk lock, lincoln towncar, trunk lid

91 lincoln towncar- must use key to get into trunk, latch over lock loose, almost falling off, entire lock assembly needs replacement. how do i remove assembly from trunk lid?  thank you, louise

Hi Louise,

Access to lock fasteners is from behind the lock, inside the trunk-lid.

Probably being held in with a wide, tin-nut.
