Auto Parts: 1989 mercury marquis, mercury marquis, fuel pump relay

I have just replaced the fuel pump on my 89 mercury and it still wont run.  Is there a computer part that may need to be replaced also that kicks the fuel pump on?

Yes. The fuel pump relay and/or the fuel safety cut-out switch.
