Answer
Hi Jono,

Is the float-level set correctly?

I'm not following the need for two regulators.

If you are using a carb on that huge displacement engine with an electric pump, pressure isn't your enemy, volume is. most aft-mrk carbs can handle up to about 8PSI, some more, some less. To feed your monster, you should have a low-pressure (between 2 and 6 PSI) and high volume pump. You should also have a flow-back line. High volume pumps almost always require a T-fitting with a return line back to the fuel cell so they do not create too much pressure which will damage the pump.

So I'd say that if your float-level is correct, your issue may be low-volume from your fuel pump.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
