Auto Parts: Wire connectors all broken and old, salvage yard, wire connectors

Question
I have 87 L98 corvette and I bought in pieces.  Have it running but all the electical connectors are brittle and half of them are not held on by anything but gravity.  Does GM or someone make like a set of connectors and plugs that I could replace all of them with?  If not a set what is a good website that I can pick out the right ones?  Autozone, Advanced didn't have anything and to order them seperately they cost like 30-40 bucks for 1 of them.  That is just too much.  Id rather make my own for that price.

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Michael,

That truly is a dilemma. i would try a few local scrap/recycling yards in your area to see if they have a harness for that engine you may be able to get a few good connectors off of or if they let you, take a walk through the salvage yard and find not only 'Vette's, but I'd be searching ANY vehicle that fit within a few years before and after yours. In your case I'd try and look for vehicles from '84 through '90 and maybe a bit broader. the wire/engine harnesses from these vehicles won't work on yours but some of the connectors may be the same. I know it's a hunt, but if you do find what you are looking for, even if you need to search a few different places, the time you spend will probably be less than what you would spend for new ones.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
