Auto Parts: indicator adjustor wheel, steering column, squeeze

Question
i have a 1997 ford e 150 van transmission indicator very badly align do you think i'll need new adjustor wheel
   thanks d

Answer
Hi Darrell,

I don't think I'm following you. Are you saying that when you have the transmission selector in, say drive, that the indicator is not on the ''D''? If this is the case, MOST indicators are controlled from the collar on the steering column via a small cable. At the base of the cable where it attaches to the collar, you should be able to slide it to where you need it to be. They are typically not bolted but merely held in place with a squeeze-clip.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information is helpful to you.
