Auto Parts: Lincoln LS, vehicle interchange, 2002 lincoln ls

Question
I own a 2002 Lincoln LS with single sunvisors per side. I would like to change them to the newer double sunvisors per side. Are the 2003 & up LS sunvisors interchangeable with the 2002 sunvisors?

Answer
Hi Steve,
Manufacturers do not release interchange notes for interior trim pieces. Chances are that as long as the fastener pattern on the hold-down bracket are the same, it will at least mount, not sure about functionality. Most of the parts fitting your vehicle however, are of a prior interchange. This means that most of the parts on your vehicle interchange to earlier vehicles as opposed to later models. Most interchanges STOP at 2002 and include 2000, 2001 and a few earlier models. I have seen a difference between LS's with a sunroof and ones without so if you DO give it a try, at least try and make sure the donor vehicle has the same style roof (eg. w/sunroof, w/o sunroof, conv, etc.) for your best chance of interchange.
Thanks for the question, I hope this information is helpful to you.
