QUESTION: Hi thanks for your prompt responce! the mechanism that pulls the sunroof up and down has broken and this metal is called puta...can i just resplace that part and will i need to take the whole unit out? can i have it welded? how do i identify the part as the diagram seems very confusing

Hi cassiem. Sorry it took a couple of days. I have replaced this part on my own car honestly. They fail quite often. If it is original equipment I would consult your dealers parts department for the replacement part. That's where I got mine and they knew exactly what I was talking about. Even came with instructions for replacement. If it's not O.E. then get the name and contact the manufacturer direct. This failure is so common it wouldn't surprise me at all if they sell that part by itself with instructions. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays. Greg
