what does a manafold do? and i was told that my 2004 aramada manafold was cracked can i still drive with it?

Hi Joe,
Well, it depends on if it's the intake or exhaust manifold. If it's the intake, you're going to have a lot of problems if you try to drive with a cracked one. The intake manifold controls how much air gets into your engine, and if there's a crack in it, then too much air will get in and then you have trouble with performance, gas mileage, etc.
The exhaust manifold releases the air after it's gone through the engine. If it's cracked you could get exhaust poisining for the exhaust could be leaking into your air vents and you could be breathing it in.

Find out which it is and go from there.
