Car Alarms: Viper Alarm System, eclipse gsx, viper alarm system

On my 1997 Eclipse GSX, there is a viper alarm system. I accidentally tripped the alarm due to the FOB malfunctioning. Now, the FOB does not work, and the alarm is stuck on. When I reconnect the battery, it immediately starts going off again and I have not been able to find a way to reset it. There is no valet button under the dash and I am wondering if it is not on the alarm module itself. Any advice? I am unable to start the car at this time. I have tried completely unhooking the battery and keying the ignition when the alarm is going off to no avail.
